Children of all ages were guests of The Wish Connection at our 3rd Annual Family Holiday Party, held at Morgan’s Wonderland. Over 80 wish children, parents, siblings and guests enjoyed a fun lunch and Christmas goodies, and all the children got a chance to visit with Santa and receive a gift. Each family also received a fruit basket. And when they weren’t eating or sitting on Santa’s lap, all the kids had a great time enjoying all of the many attractions that Morgan’s Wonderland provides. With TWC members in Santa caps and elves making sure the kids had everything they needed, it was a lot of holiday good cheer all around.

"A spin on a merry-go-round or the cast of a fishing line never meant as much as it did on Saturday, August 14th, when The Wish Connection (TWC) celebrated its 2nd Annual Summer Family Event at Morgan's Wonderland, the nation's first park designed specifically for children with special needs. TWC wish children, their families, caregivers and volunteers from the organization spent the afternoon enjoying the amazing rides and attractions that allow special needs children to experience things that most of us regard as pleasantly routine, such as riding on a swing. Joining in on the fun was a host of characters from "Star Wars," (the San Antonio Star Wars Society). They were on hand to share activity books and prizes with the wish children and provide even more fun interacting with the children as their favorite characters from the popular movie series"

Scrooge and Santa rubbed elbows at the 2nd Annual Christmas Party for The Wish Connection children and their families. Over 60 guests from the ever-expanding Wish Connection family joined in the fun. Carnival rides, games, fun food and frolicking filled every stocking at the "Christmas Carol"-themed event. The Ghosts of Christmases Past, Present & Future were joined by townsfolk straight out of Scrooge's London to help with the merriment. Elves were on-hand to help Santa give a specially selected gift to every Wish child and sibling, and a fruit basket to every Wish family.

Lions and Tigers and Bears were on the prowl!...not in Oz but at the San Antonio Zoo, for The Wish Connection Family Summer Event. Wish children and their families were given exclusive access to the zoo and were treated to a classic American backyard barbeque of burgers and dogs with all the sides and fixins'. Guests were given a close-up look at pet-able residents of the zoo, including a Madagascar tree boa, a three-banded armadillo, a lesser hedgehog tenrec and an Angora goat. Each of the Wish children also received a special treat box filled with zoo-themed goodies.
